First thing first, unlock the ZIF CPU socket using your needle-nosed pliers. After you have successfully unlocked the ZIF CPU socket, it is now safe to pullout your laptop’s fan and heat sink.

Not that you have successfully pullout the defective fan and heat sink of your laptop, it is now time for you to install your newly purchased set of heat sink and fan.
