First of all I would like to tell you what meta search engine is? A meta search engine is a online tool through which you can search anything and the search engine will give you the result. Whenever you will search with any keyword the search engine will send request to all the other search engines and take out all the data from those search engines and aggregates the result into a single list and will show you the results.
Meta search engine helps the users to search for once and to use more than one search engines at a time. Meta search engine work on basis of that the web is too large for a one single search engine and to crawl all the sites and you will get more comprehensive search result from meta search engines. This is also saving the time of the users from using many search engines separately.
Metasearch engines creates a virtual database. They are not compiling a physical database or catalogue of the web. They just take a user’s request and pass it to several heterogeneous databases and then compile the results in a homogeneous manner on the basis of a specific algorithm.
